About this deal

For players looking to get their feet wet with delay, the Carbon Copy has served as an easy choice for years, earning its spot in the pantheon of modern pedalboard standards. Plug in your guitar, bass, synth, electric accordion or really anything else with an output, and step into the world of delay.

The Carbon Copy also features glow in the dark controls, such a simple idea yet so useful on dark stages. When the pedal is on it gives a subtle presence to your overall sound, this helps to retain clarity but it does not effect the comforting sound of those decaying repeats. With the "mod" button engaged the soundshape dives into a marvelous chorus/vibrato like mood, which I have on nearly everytime. Whether you're new to the world of delay or an old pro in need of a no-nonsense workhorse, the MXR M-169 Carbon Copy is a great choice when choosing an analog delay pedal. You can then choose which finance term you'd like to apply for, and change your deposit if you wish.Go from crisp bathroom slap echoes to epic, Gilmouresque delays with the MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay. I use it in the fxloop to fat up my sound, because is anolog and very dark sounding, sometimes to hear the repeats the only thing to do is to play in palm mute otherwise it will completely blend with the dry signal. It’s a simple addition but it makes a big difference, especially when you’re playing at louder volumes. This design boasts an amazing 600ms of delay time with optional modulation via a top-mounted switch and a simple, three-knob layout that controls Delay time, Mix (dry/wet blend), and Regen (delay repeats) all in a pedal no bigger than a Phase 90.

This design boasts an amazing 600ms of delay time with optional modulation via a top-mounted switch and a simple, three-knob layout that controls Delay time, Mix (dry/wet blend), and Regen (delay repeats)-all in a pedal no bigger than a Phase 90. This pedal can be powered by a 9-volt battery, a Dunlop ECB003 9-volt adapter, or the DC Brick™, Iso-Brick™, and Mini Iso-Brick™ power supplies (not included). It is not the most versatile delay pedal out there, but It is sure to add some beautiful ambience to your playing and thicken up your guitar solos. Regen controls the number of repeats in the delay signal, while Delay controls the time between each repeat. Even true hardwire bypass effects stomp boxes (of which this is) still suffer losses from the added cables needed to wire them in.Whether you're looking for just a hint of studio echo or to get lost in cascades of noise, the Carbon Copy is a great way to add some delay to your chain. Not only do you get those lush, analogue delay repeats but you also have plenty of control over how those repeats come out. Featuring an entirely analog audio path, it delivers a warm and rich delay through the use of bucket-brigade technology - that old-school vibe! The oscillation you can get with this delay is amazing, similar to Radiohead's "Karma Police" effect near the end of the song. I often use it for slapback delay with the Malekko trem and the Boss FRV-1 reverb in my surf/rockabilly band for both riffing and soloing and I always get praised for my sound and other times I use it with my psychedellic rock band and mix it with some vibe or wah or fuzz, it always delivers.

The Carbon Copy has a very smooth and musical characteristic that fills in space without cutting through the rest of the mix. Featuring 600ms of delay time with optional modulation, and a three-knob layout that controls Delay, Mix, and Regen.Fans of digital delay might want to give this pedal a go because it offers more than a standard analog delay pedal- up to 600ms delay time, subtle modulation and warm clarity.
